Hailed as "photography's new conscience", Dr. Losack mostly shoots in the third world, particularly India where he has travelled extensively in the last 31 years.

His imagery though quite eclectic, often portrays the dark side of humanity. He probes and exposes the forgotten, the neglected, those who have no advocacy. He has campaigned  for those who suffer from Leprosy for 2 decades.  He is present but not disruptive in his work... His work is about the vicissitudes of life and the eternal struggle to master and survive with so little. The question of 'social responsibility' emerges quite often in his work.

He is a veteran psychiatrist,  a singer songwriter, a traveller of 50 plus nations and the author of a children's book on childhood obesity. His work is owned by several VIPS &  one of his crucial images titled "YOKO"  is owned by Yoko Ono, the wife of Beatle John Lennon. He has been featured in National GEO and many other magazines too  many to mention.   He lives and works in the East Village of Manhattan, NYC.
